Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The AG&P Foundation is determined to expand its network beyond the provision of technical skills training, striving to be a catalyst for change both locally and nationally through various company-sponsored programs and initiatives. The AG&P Foundation has been involved in myriad programs, including:
Tree planting. The Foundation has led tree planting activities in different Barangays in Bauan, in support of the national Filipino tree planting and tree greening program. Serving as an extension, our Park and Playground Development Project develops recreational areas for the local community.
Coastal Clean-up. Along with the local government and various NGOs, we participate in the International Coastal Clean Up, the world’s largest one-day volunteer effort.
Organic Farming. The Foundation spearheads an organic vegetable farming program. Our high-quality produce is used in the free meals we prepare for our professionals daily. We work alongside community residents and the Pilipinas Shell Foundation on this program and through the Integrated Farming Bio-Systems Training Project also supply the local Bagsakan Center, where local organic vegetables are sold to residents at an affordable price.
Medical Missions. The Foundation conducts a Medical and Dental Mission, offering free medical and dental consultations to community residents from all localities. Approximately 1,500 to 2,000 residents receive complimentary medicine and free medical and dental check-ups from practitioners in any given year. In parallel, the Foundation also started a Blood Letting Program with the objective of donating blood to Philippine National Red Cross and Batangas Regional Hospital which donate to patients in need of transfusions. Approximately 200 volunteers from various AG&P departments have donated 450 cc of their blood to extend support to this noble undertaking.
Educational Programs. Spurred by our steadfast belief in education, the Foundation launched various community programs aimed at assisting public elementary schools and students. The Foundation, in cooperation with Books Across the Sea (BATS), the Asia Foundation and the Rotary Club of Makati, donates assorted textbooks to public elementary schools in Bauan, supporting their growing demand for reading and reference materials. The Foundation also sends representatives to repair classrooms and donates durable desks to schools.
Typhoon Relief. The Saving Fellow Agapito program aims to provide immediate and critical support to individuals and families affected by typhoons. Relief goods, mineral water and used clothes are gathered during our various drives and are sent to affected areas in Luzon.
PamaskongHandog. During the Yuletide season, the Foundation donates used clothes, goods and various commodities to the underprivileged in our local Barangay.
