AG&P Foundation

The AG&P Foundation engages in vocational skills, education, development and enhancement.  The Foundation serves to meet our manpower requirements, both in our Batangas Heavy Fabrication Yard (BHFY) and on overseas projects, at no extra cost to our trainees.

The Foundation has also successfully worked alongside sponsors to establish scholarship funds for technical skills training, specifically geared at underprivileged individuals who would otherwise not have access to our Technical School.  These individuals receive the same training AG&P professionals receive, going through intensive courses in industrial welding, structural and pipefitting, scaffolding, insulation, millwright, crane and heavy equipment operation.

The Foundation’s curriculum involves 30% classroom lectures in modern lecture rooms and 70% hands-on or booth instruction.  To enhance the classroom lectures even further, AG&P’s welding and pipefitting faculties developed Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-accredited training manuals for welding and pipefitting.  These handbooks are compilations of lectures from various welding and pipefitting books, simplified for easier comprehension.  Also available are the Scaffold Training Institute Manuals and CDs and Training Guide for Millwrights.  Ultimately, successful graduates of our training school are certified as world-class professionals and are given priority for hiring at the AG&P Heavy Fabrication Yard and a chance to be deployed overseas.
